It's been 2 years since Katrina hit New Orleans and the Gulf Coast region.  People are still waiting for permanent housing and help from our wonderful government.  Any one with a brain knows that the whole situation has been a travesty.  Meanwhile the brainless one is asking for $50 billion more for Iraq.   People in this country are suffering due to the lies of our current administration and the quagmire that is Iraq.  The right wing went after Bill Clinton like a pit bull over sex, SEX! The Bush Administration has lied, stripped us of our civil rights, and done whatever the hell they wanted, legally or otherwise and there is not a f**king peep from anyone.  I keep saying that I'd vote for a trained monkey if that's who the Dems decided to run but you know what, I'm completely disillusioned.  I'm sick of the crap that comes with politics.  I'm tired just thinking about the fact that the 2008 stuff has already started.  The thought of a year and a half of it makes me ill.  The finger pointing, the mud slinging, the political correctness, the re-hashing of Bill Clinton's indescretions I'm done.  Let's face it, Democrat, Republican, Independent, whatever - they all SUCK!  And, don't even get me started on the football asshole who now that he's been caught is soooooooo sincerely sorry that he was running a dog fighting ring in his backyard.  Sorry doesn't cut it pal.

This is kind of interesting - Beloit College puts out an annual "Beloit College Mindset List" which is their effort to "identify a worldview of  18 year olds in the fall of 2007."  *Warning* It will make you feel old.

Alberto Gonzales has apparently resigned.  Now that's the way to start a Monday!

Michael Vick and his sadistic treatment of dogs make me sick.  What kind of person sees sport in watching dogs attack each other?  I hope they throw the book at him and that the NFL steps up and fires his ass.

Mom, 40, gives birth to 17th child.  Joshua, 19; John David, 17; Janna, 17; Jill, 16; Jessa, 14; Jinger, 13; Joseph, 12; Josiah, 11; Joy-Anna, 9; Jedidiah, 8; Jeremiah, 8; Jason 7; James, 6; Justin, 4; Jackson, 3; Johannah, almost 2, and newborn, Jennifer.  My question is WHY?

Why does it always take a tragedy like the Minneapolis bridge collapse or Hurrican Katrina before our government decides it needs to act? Ok, well we're still waiting for them to respond to Katrina but you get my point.   Check out this article titled Officials See New Urgency to Improve USA's Bridges. Wow, glad you're all on top of the bridge thing - now that people have been killed needlessly.
