A guy in Wisconsin found a deer with 7! legs in his driveway.  It must be the cheese.  What have you got going on over there,  Jane?

A couple of weeks ago, Mary sent a bunch of us a questionnaire that asked you to fill out your top 4 of various things, like books, movies, etc..  Melanie filled one out and one of her top movies was the french film, Rififi.   I watched it last night and thoroughly enjoyed it.  It's a 1950's film noir about 4 men who plan and carry out a jewel heist and of course, trouble ensues.   Another of Melanie's favs is Umbrellas of Cherbourg, which stars a very young Catherine Deneuve.  It's a very beautifully filmed movie.   Speaking of the questionnaire - I had dinner with Gina and Cathy on Saturday night and Gina mentioned that she had seen mine and that she had never seen Hello Dolly, which is one of my favs.  She's interested in seeing it because she read that Walter Matthau hated Barbara Streisand and wants to see if that comes through in the movie.  Does anybody like Babs? She may be bitchy or unlikable but some of her movies are my absolute favorites.  The Way We Were makes me cry every time and not just because Robert Redford is so heartbreakingly beautiful.  There's also Funny Girl and A Star is Born, which weirdly enough was the first "adult" movie I was allowed to go see.  Ok, enough La Streisand.  What are you watching - any recommendations or favorites?  Winter is upon us and it's movie watching time.
