I'm getting back into the groove after the vacation thing. I went to Northern Michigan for the week where it was pretty much cold and rainy so I was forced to lay on the couch like a sloth and stuff my face. Forced I tell you! That's my story and I'm sticking to it. I think the problem is that I always kick off a trip home with Dunkin Donuts coffee and 2 sour cream glazed donuts and it's all down hill from there - water, fruit, veggies, who needs 'em. Yeah, 4 additonal lbs later and I'm thinking that water, fruit, and veggies may have been the way to go. Which is what I kept telling myself as I ate junk. I'm not a good listener.
I got to see my best buddy Jane while I was home. Hi Jane! We had dirty martinis - ok, basically we had straight up vodka because that olive juice doesn't go far. I can not do vodka - it doesn't like me. It likes to sneak up and sucker punch me. The next night, Jane and I did a coffee night. Much better the next day.
Jane and her friend Chris are doing the Door County Century next week. It's a 100 mile bike ride. You guys will do great! You're crazy but you'll do great. :-)
A great big shoutout to my 13 year old niece, Anna. She had 10 inches cut off her hair today and donated it to Locks of Love. I'm so proud of you kid!
